Perhaps the real domain for political discussion is 'art.' I've always been suspicious of using art as a vehicle for, or expression of, political will. Typically art of this kind strikes me as illustration at best, and propaganda at worst. That said, I was fascinated by 'The Yes Men,' which promted a conversation between Sherene, Kenseth and myself, weighing whether or not activism AND art could coexist in a single expression, simultaneously. Maybe there's some sort of uncertainty principle that can be applied to this question? We all took different positions on the matter, and I found myself in favor of BOTH - that a cultural expression isn't limited to one domain or the other, which I think opens up a crack in my position on political art.

Perhaps art isn't under the same pressures that politicians and media are. It doesn't come with talking points, via Hibiscusroto.
